On 20 April 2018, Mr Philip Ma, CEO of the 118-year-old Sincere Department Store (先施百貨), gave a talk on managing changes in the Hong Kong retail industry. Mr Ma shared how Sincere has sought to modernise its brand image and engage customers by communicating through different channels and offering attractive merchandise. Mr Ma also shared that the Hong Kong retail industry is suffering from manpower shortage, which bodes well for students considering a career in the retail sector.
The talk attracted quite a few business practitioners besides HSMC students and staff.
