Biography
Dr. Tong was responsible for organizing the wholesaling business of a French fashion brand since 1985, establishing the flagship-store for the purpose of developing the domestic retailing business. He joined a Swiss trading firm since 1987 which was wholesaling Swiss, Italian and French professional equipment. In 1989, he joined the subsidiary company of the largest bank in Switzerland – UBS, engaging in marketing works. As the General Manager of China region of the corporation in 2001, he was responsible for the establishment and investment of the production plant and sales network. In 2005, he joined a subsidiary company of a Taiwan listed company as the General Manager in Hong Kong to set up a factory plant in Hong Kong. He has been engaging in tertiary education in Hong Kong since 2008 and was appointed by the HKUSPACE ICB as the Assistant Program Director in 2012. He has been teaching various subjects for Top-Up Degree program offered by the University of Northumbria at Newcastle, UK; and the University of Central Lancashire, UK. He also handled teaching duties for some local universities including The Open University of HK; the HK Polytechnic University. In 2018, he established a consulting company as the Managing Director.Research and Teaching Interests
