Biography
Prof Hwang is a Professor of Finance in the Nanyang Business School at NTU-Singapore. Prior to joining NTU, he was an Associate Professor of Finance in the SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University. He teaches Equity Investing with Big Data to undergraduate students as well as Empirical Asset Pricing to Ph.D. students. His research has been published in various academic journals in the fields of Finance and Management. It has also been described in media outlets such as the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg. He has given more than one hundred talks at academic institutions, research groups, and conferences around the world. He has also advised government organizations, such as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and consulted for major hedge funds in the U.S. and Europe. Byoung-Hyoun HWANG received a Ph.D. in Finance from Emory University in 2009. He was born and grew up in Germany.Selected Publications
