    Biography

    Professor Lau received the BA degree in Journalism from the National Chengchi University and obtained the MSc and PhD degrees in Management from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His papers have been published in Academy of Management Review, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of International Management, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Family Business Review, and Journal of Business Ethics, etc. Before joining the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, he was a faculty member of the Department of Management at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, respectively. He has adopted various pedagogical methods, such as cooperative learning and problem-based learning approaches, to help students become more active and interactive. He has also gained extensive work experiences. Before engaging in the academic career, he was an employee in commercial firms and an entrepreneur running his own business ventures. Such industrial and entrepreneurial experiences do not only offer insights into his research and teaching, but they also enable him to provide quality service in universities.
