Financial Risk Management in Practice by Mr Hanson Wong

The Department of Economics and Finance gladly invited Mr Hanson Wong to share his precious work experience in Financial Risk Management with students and staff on 9 April 2015.

Mr Wong’s story was greatly inspiring. Students were surprised to find that Mr Wong graduated as an English major, but later worked as a quantitative trader in Wall Street. Mr Wong continued to share his fascinating work experience in the areas of investment management and risk management. At the end, Mr Wong advised that integrity and teamwork at workplace were of paramount importance to a successful career in the finance field. Finally, he ended the day with a quote of wisdom – “If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you”.
