Guest Lecture cum Professional Bodies Briefing Session – Series 2

To provide ACCG students with more information about other accounting-related professional qualifications, the Department of Accountancy organized the Series 2 of Professional Bodies Briefing Session on 19 January 2017. Prior the session, a guest lecture on a soft topic was arranged regarding table manners and food culture.
Mr. Bruce Law, a renowned Chinese and Western table manners instructor, was invited to be the guest speaker to share table manners and food culture around the world. He used an interesting and humorous way to deliver a lecture which drew the attention of the audience’ and left them a remarkable impression.
After the lecture, representatives from THREE professional bodies were invited to introduce the institutes and their professional qualification requirements. They were The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK).
The event was successfully held attracting more than 80 students and staff. Most students found the briefing session very useful and informative.
