To provide our students with updated information about the accounting professional bodies, the Department of Accountancy organized a Professional Bodies Briefing Session on 10 November 2016.
Representatives from THREE accounting professional bodies were invited to introduce their institutes/associations and their professional qualification requirements, including Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), CPA Australia (CPAA) and Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA).
In addition, staff from the Department of Accountancy answered students’ questions in the in-house sharing session. Students were interested in understanding more about the differences in qualifications obtained from the three professional bodies and the examinations. They also raised questions about their career planning.
The event was successfully held attracting more than 120 students and staff. Most students found the briefing session very useful and informative as they understood more about the differences between the three institutes/associations.
