  • The Graduation Ceremony 2022 for BBA-ACC, BBA-CG and BBA-CGC programmes was successfully held on 8 Dec 2022. To celebrate this special moment with our graduates, the Department of Accountancy hosted a “Graduation Celebration and Photo Booth” on that day after the official graduation ceremony. Graduates were invited to come to Wei Lun Square for taking group photos.     The HKICPA Business Case Competition 2022 was held successfully on 26 Nov 2022. This year, students are required to compile a business proposal focusing on the pharmaceutical industry with the use of their academic competencies and skillsets.     The 2022 HSUHK Information Day was held on 19 November 2022. The Department of Accountancy (the Department) set up an exhibition booth to greet visitors and introduce its BBA in Corporate Governance and Compliance (BBA-CGC) and BBA in Professional Accountancy (BBA-PA) programmes. Besides, an information session was arranged for each programme. Programme Director/ Associate Programme Director of the respective programmes introduced their programmes in detail, including the professional recognitions, programme structure and sharing from graduates.     The first guest lecture cum personal tutor-tutee networking of this academic year was successfully held on 10 November 2022. Students were grouped and chatted with their personal tutors during the networking session. It was also a great opportunity for them to learn from their peers and be familiar with other senior/junior schoolmates. Students provided their feedback and thought regarding their academic learning and campus life experience this academic year and received positive advice from their personal tutors.     The Professional Bodies Briefing Session 2022 – Series 1 was successfully held on 22 September 2022 with an aim to provide students with the latest information on the professional bodies and their respective qualifications. In this series, THREE professional bodies from accounting fields were invited to introduce their institutes and professional qualification requirements to students.     The Department of Accountancy hosted the ACY Online Seminar on 28 April 2022 and invited two professionals to share the tax development in Hong Kong and the career opportunities related to this field. Mr. Henry Kwong, Tax Partner of Cheng & Cheng Taxation Services Limited, shared his story in pursuing a career in tax field and how students could equip themselves with the necessary skills and knowledge through internships and various professional activities.     The ACY Online Seminar in March was successfully held on 24 March 2022, dually themed in “Corruption Prevention” and “Application of Financial Statements”. Mr. Jerome Fan, Senior Community Relations Officer of Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), showcased a various types of corruption violations with the demonstration of videos and case studies.
