Facilities

The Behavioral Laboratory is a globally-adopted research facility to conduct behavioral research. It supports data collection for researches in different business-related topics, such as consumer behavior, psychology and behavior, social psychology, behavioral economics and management.

The facility comprises a Group Behavioral Laboratory, an Individual Behavioral Laboratory, a reception area and a control room. The Individual Behavioral Laboratory is an ideal place for conducting in-depth interviews or bargaining experiments. The Group Behavioral Laboratory is designed for focus groups or research on interpersonal communication or team dynamics. The control room is equipped with an advanced video monitoring and recording system and a one-way mirror. Sitting in the Control Room, researchers can control the camera(s) in each laboratory while listening and watching participants via the mirror or the monitor. The Behavioral Laboratory is a versatile resource to support research that concerns behavior.

The facilities above are established by a grant from the Research Grants Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, China (UGC/IDS14/15) and currently managed by Department of Marketing, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong.
