Professional Bodies Briefing Session ~ Series 1 was successfully held on 14 September 2017 by Department of Accountancy with an aim to provide up-to-date information about accounting profession and accounting professional bodies to our current students.
Representatives from THREE accounting professional bodies, namely Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), CPA Australia, and Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), were invited to deliver information on their institutions/associations and professional qualification requirements. Such information let our students get well prepared for their future career and professional path.
An in-house sharing session is scheduled in the last part of this event. During the sharing session, our department staff distinguished the differences in qualifications obtained from the three accounting professional bodies. They also shared their own career experience to respond students’ inquiries on future career planning.
There were in total more than 70 students and staff attending this event. Most of the students found the event was beneficial to them in the sense that useful and practical information was collected.
