The Public Lecture on National Security Law was successfully held on 1 February 2024, co-hosted by the Common Core Curriculum Office, Department of Accountancy, School of Business, and HSUHK Start-up and SME Resource Centre.
The event featured Mr C.M. Chan, President of the Law Society of Hong Kong, as the guest speaker. Mr Chan provided an overview of the history of Hong Kong and the background behind the formulation of regulations related to national security. The lecture provided an insightful discussion on the controversy surrounding the establishment of the Hong Kong National Security Law from historical and international political discourse.
