The Department of Management organized the second Management League in the summer of 2022. The series of activities include photography competition, a lipstick-making workshop and a sports event, Diversify MGT/ HRM/ GBM. The theme for the photography competition was Happy Moment with MGTers / HRMers / GBMers, signifying the three undergraduate programmes of the department. A team of students from BBA-MGT and other programmes, was awarded one of the best 3 teams in the SSRC Consultancy Project (2021-22). The competition provided an opportunity for students to work with entrepreneurs and business executives to deal with real-life problems. The team chose City’s Treasure, a social enterprise aiming at preserving small shops and to promoting neighborhood spirit by providing local tour services to organization, as their project focus. The Award Presentation Ceremony has been held on 13 November 2021. Our BBA-GBM students achieved good results in the competition of Hong Kong Undergraduate Financial Planners of the Year Award 2021. The competition aimed to raise awareness on financial planning among undergraduate students and equip them with relevant knowledge for a career in financial planning. The competition was divided into 3 rounds: a first round of compilating a detailed financial proposal; the second round for producing a 10-minutes video oral presentation; and the final round of a face-to-face presentation in front of judges. To strengthen the bonding experiences among our Management students, the Department has been organizing a series of “Management League 2021” activities during the summer holidy. It includes a series of events such as photo competition, music competition, hand-craft workshops for charity. Students are encouraged to contribute to their own programme (i.e., BBA-MGT, BBA-HRM, and BBA-GBM) through earning League Points. The Student Orientation Day 2019 was successfully held on 20th August 2019. There were great number of new students joining this year. Students sat together in groups and showed their yearn and hope for their life in university. Professor Irene Chow, our Department Head, delivered a warm welcoming speech to the freshmen.
