Professional Bodies Briefing Session Series 2 cum the 3 rd Personal Tutor-tutee Networking was successfully held on 1 February 2018 with an aim to updating students with different professional qualifications and stimulating interaction among students, teachers and professional bodies.
Representatives from the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS) and the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK) were invited to introduce their institutes, qualifications, and examination structures in the hope that students could widen their understanding of these institutes and get better planning of their career paths.
In between the briefing session and the networking, a rehearsal was organised
for the finalist team of three BBA-Accounting students to present their proposal, in the preparation for their final competition on 3 February. Personal Tutor-tutee Networking was then held after the competition rehearsal. Students were split into groups with their personal tutors where they discuss various academic development issues including relevant professional qualifications and career prospects. Students were also encouraged to participate in different competitions and extra-curricular activities in the future.
More than 50 students and teachers participated in the event.
