    • The HSUHK Information Day was held on 17 November 2018. The Department of Accountancy had set up an exhibition booth to provide visitors with the latest information of the BBA (Hons) (with Accounting Concentration) (BBA-ACC) and BBA (Hons) in Corporate Governance (BBA-CG). The exhibition booth attracted hundreds of visitors. Besides, two sessions of information seminars were held to deliver in-depth information of BBA-CG programme, introducing programme structure, career prospect, professional recognition and so forth.     Guest Lecture on “Listing Requirements of HKIPO and Roles and Responsibilities of Accountants” cum Personal Tutor-tutee Networking #1 was successfully held on 15 November 2018.     Professional Bodies Briefing Session was successfully held on 4 October 2018. The activity aimed at providing students with the up-to-date information on the professional bodies and their respective professional qualifications to prepare students for their future career development in accounting and corporate governance fields.     AC.CG Reception cum Alumni Homecoming Cocktail was successfully held on 7 September 2018 for all students from BBA (with Accounting Concentration) and BBA in Corporate Governance. The aim of the event is to provide students with useful information on their studies and career planning.     As a part of HSMC Student Orientation Day, Programme Orientations were held by the Department of Accountancy for Year 3 direct-entry students in BBA (with Accounting Concentration), and Year 1 and Year 3 direct-entry students in BBA in Corporate Governance on 21 August 2018.     A demo lecture themed at “Smart Governance: Sustainable Housing Development” has been successfully held by our BBA in Corporate Governance Programme on 5 July 2018, as a part of HSMC Summer Academy 2018. During the demo lecture, our Assistant Professor Dr. Linsey Chen introduced to participants the fundamental concept of “Sustainable Development” and its application in Hong Kong Housing Development and facilitated discussion on the related topics. (BGL), organised a “Corporate Affairs System (CAS) Training Workshop” on 22 June 2018 with an aim to help students and teaching staff be familiar with the latest application software and IT skills in the field of corporate secretaryship and compliance. Our honorable guest, Mr. Andy Chan, Introduced various career opportunities offered by the CPA firms (Big-4, middle-tier and local), business and commercial sectors and government sectors, as well as their distinctive features. He advised students to make career choices which suit their own personality. Besides, Mr. Andy Chan also shared some tips and suggestions on preparing CV and Job interview, and stayed behind after the guest lecture to provide individual advice to students.
